The do it yourself videos make it look so easy and simple. The entire process took me three hours. I had to watch the videos over and over, pausing, searching for other videos and such. There are a lot of opportunities to really screw things up and if you make one little mistake you’re screwed. THIS IS NOT AN EASY PROCESS, do not be fooled. I consider myself a very tech-savvy person and I was completely frustrated by the misleading videos. Not to mention, the screwdriver provided does not work for the inside screws, so I had to go buy one myself seperately. The adhesive does not come off easily and the entire process requires a lot of time and patience.
Overall, yes, I was able to fix my cracked screen with this product. But along the way something must have happened with the wiring. My screen will not connect/work right. The phone still works, and can receive calls, but the screen is not working. I cannot use the phone for anything now. 3 hours and $16 later, I wish I’d stuck with the cracked screen. At least I could use my phone then.

I ordered this item, hoping it to be the correct item, only to discover that it was a screen for the Iphone 3g. Not the Iphone 3GS like it states. It sucks because I took everything apart and when it came time to attach the connector did I realize it was the wrong replacement screen. I was also very unhappy especially when this exact same company sent me the incorrect screen for an Itouch 2nd generation in the same order I placed to receive this 3GS screen replacement.
